Jo trained at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, Epsom where she became a qualified ISTD Tap and Modern Teacher and gained Diplomas in Dance and MTC and trained in Contemporary Cunningham Technique.

Since graduating she has worked as a freelance teacher in many leading establishments as well as conducting workshops, summer schools, GCSE dance and creative movement in academic schools.

During her years of teaching and choreographing many of her Pupils have gone onto vocational theatre colleges and are now working in the West End, touring theatres at home and abroad as well as working in TV, film and cruise lines.

Jo later on accepted a teaching position at Laine Theatre Arts where for almost 8 years she taught all full time students and semi-students and went on to became part of the faculty when the Foundation Course began.

COVID was a time to explore teaching in a whole new way. Zoom was and still is a fantastic option for all ages and abilities and can tailor specifically what someone might need.

Jo started teaching for Boogie Pumps in September 2024 and quickly realised what an amazing establishment it was. Jo’s goal is to pass on the knowledge, experience and passion she has learnt and gained over the past 25 years. Away from work Jo is mum to 2 lovely boys aged 10 and 2 and they enjoy being outdoors, swimming and spending time with family and friends as well as skiing in the winter months.

She is very excited to have the opportunity to bring the joy and sparkle of Boogie Pumps to Chichester, and welcomes everyone to the Boogie experience.
